As I’m typing this, the world is on a Coronavirus pandemic with people canceling events left and right, stocking up on toilet paper for some reason, and just mass hysteria… I get it, it’s a crazy big deal and we should all be cautious, but the widespread panic is a bit much tbh. All types of small businesses and contracts are being slowed down… the economy is just in a weird place. Actually 2020 is just a bunch of wtf’s lately. Anyways, on to my coverage of Final Bout Pre Meet hosted by Mayday Garage in Houston, TX….
Final Bout Pre Meet hosted by Mayday Garage at Moontower Inn in Houston, TX
It’s been awhile since the Mayday Garage guys have organized a meet in a minute since the last… which was the 2018 Wekfest Pre Meet before the move to Austin, TX. I wasn’t able to get to the meet early because of a prior event, but imagine 20+ Final Bout drift cars rolling to Moontower Inn during sunset with a orange skyline of Houston in the background. The response of the meet was something that was missing in the automotive scene… i.e. “The meet was crazy. It was like something out of the fast and furious.”
The meet was something of the past but definitely of the present…
As I rolled up… the streets were packed for about 3 blocks away from the meet…
I thought it was going to be really crazy but it was just a chill vibe all around…
All cars of life came out and supported…
But it isn’t just about the cars…
It’s about the bonds… new and old.
Cars are just a bonus…
The people are what makes meets awesome…
Some came from out of state just to visit… hi Damon aka @camryonbronze
It might sound crazy but you don’t have to do burnouts and donuts in the middle of the intersection to have fun…

The meet ended with no arrests or shutdowns… everyone had a great time and can’t wait for the next.
