Final Formation (2017) car meet by Final Form USA was held on the final day of TX2K17 this year. I didn’t plan to stop by but it was on the way home and a few of the guys invited me, so I made an appearance with my sunburned face and arms. If haven’t heard of Final Form USA, you’ll know they’re known for their distribution of CarShopGlow lights, Rize LEDs, RE-Amemiya body parts, and other various Japanese tuning automotive parts. This year, they plan to organize a few Houston car meets backed by Falken tires.
Clay Barnett aka @clayspec‘s FD RX7
The Final Formation meet didn’t feel like a normal Houston car meet… Each of the display cars were staged like they would be in a car exhibition/show which was different. The other modified vehicles not on display in the main area were parked either in the street or public parking spot on the side. The meet location was on Sabine St. Bridge at the entrance of Buffalo Bayou Park’s, The Water Works.
I arrived an hour before the meet ended and decided not to use my 35mm lens. I opted for the 50 1.4 lens…
Found another TE37SL buddy parked in the back… this is Hong‘s G37 Sedan. A good contrast in blue paint and gold wheels….
Since I arrived late, I missed a couple of cars that attended…
The meet wasn’t made public until a few days before… so many of the spectators who happened to be in the area were random people jogging or going to the park…
After about 30 minutes when I had arrived, some of the staged guys began leaving….
I believe this FD RX7 belongs to a guy in Dallas/FW…
Stock body low…
One main reason I like going to Houston car meets is to just catch up with friends whom I haven’t seen awhile like James Evins…
I think that’s why most of us come out to car meets… just enjoy car life…
It’s also a great time to practice iPhone photo skills like Khiem Pham is doing here….
Khiem’s 2JZX7 along with some of the guys from Final Form USA…
This Z might look familiar but it’s not Forsberg’s 280Z… this Moonbeam kit Z belongs to Kevin or @k.bull.2…
From what I’ve been told, this was the first kit by Moonbeam before Forsberg’s 280Z… also was painted before Forsberg as well… shrugs.
Another local Z owner known for his low wide stance and was Bruce Laureto’s 280ZX….
Bruce’s Pantera rear deck conversion is a nice touch that most 280ZX owners don’t have…
Check out that meaty flush fitment… barely any space to fit a business card…
Staging next to Bruce’s 280ZX was Pec’s Rocky Auto Hakosuka from Japan…
Pec is known as the notorious JDM collector with a fleet of RHD cars from Japan… We tell him he has a problem but he doesn’t listen… jk Pec!
Gotta get low for the good angles…
Speaking of low angles… check out Cristian’s FC RX7…
It was put together a day before the meet… you can see how tired he is on the left…
The new shaved, painted, and tucked engine bay done by Cristian and the Final Form USA guys….
Christian Santiago’s NA1 sat clean as always….
Another lower angle from behind of Christian’s NA1…
Tony Abad’s LS powered E36 M3 from the back…
Tony standing in between of his car and Cody’s hellrot red E36 M3… both of these E36 M3’s are wearing Felony Form fenders…
Street / track look for Cody’s E36 M3…
The Final Form USA team’s choice of wheels are TE37’s…
It’s rare to see this Refined Elegance mkIV Supra with Ridox kit appear at a car meet… wish I had more shots of this car but he had already started leaving…
Meet the face behind @streetform… “wth is going?” face look….
Prob one of the cleanest non wide body FD RX7…
Looks like it was time to go for some of the guys….
It was Bruce’s turn to take off…
Tomsik was out there to support the show…
Team Final Form USA all rocking the CSG tail lights…
Nic Johnson’s Miata leaving the meet…
The sun sets and it was time time to head on home to rest from TX2K17 and Final Formation….
Definitely had a good time seeing old faces and seeing what everyone was up to. With Final Form USA now throwing meets, what will their next Houston car meets be like?
